CAMPING AT WOODWARD
(September 2012)
It's been many years since we've camped at Woodward Reservoir; it's been so long ago, that I actually don't remember when we were there last.

I went up Thursday morning, and visiting it again, to me, seemed like very little had changed.  The only difference I saw was that T-Island had full-hookups for RVs, and the undeveloped area had barriers and signs about 20 feet from the lake water. The signs indicated that you couldn't park a vehicle or put up a tent within approximately 20 feet from the water.

We wouldn't be able to set up our tents together at T-Island as we liked to do, so I elected to find a spot at the undeveloped sites. I found a fairly good spot in the Mountain View area were we used to camp. I found it almost full, but located the next best spot were we could camp together and still have some shade from the sun by some trees.

Below are some pictures

Tatiana in the front and her friend in the back in Paul's rubber canoe

My motorhome and car; Paul's van and Tatiana's tent before more people came. You can barely see the posts indicating that you cannot park or camp beyond.

Having fun in the water

That's Paul and Tatiana

Tatiana and her friend. That's Paul's sailing board (he didn't bring the sail). They spent quite a bit of time playing in the water together

Candy and Charla putting up Charla's Tent. Candace's tent on on the right

Charla setting up her sleeping bag. Candace is observing the situation

There! It's all done.

Tatiana's friend, Tatiana and Paul. Paul's van and campsite ahead.

Boy, they could pass for twins. That's Tatiana on the right.

Good picture of Charla!

That's a good picture of Candy too. Candy?

Mark showed up and putting his tent up

Now how do I make it upright? On the right? Oh, that's Mark; Charla on left - helping.

It's Up!!

WOW!! Candy poured a little wine in her humungous wine glass. She didn't fill it, because she would have to use two hands to hold it.  ;-}

Careful there, don't spill any! That's Lisa in the right background.

Lisa, Candy, and Renee.

Campsite's filling up!

Relaxing in the shade of the tree

Where's everyone? Down by or in the water, of course!

Mark on Paul's bike!

To refresh your memories - that's the bathrooms near the entrance to the Mountain View campsites.

Looking towards the opposite side where we used to camp.

The center area is even full

Looking towards the center of the lake - away from the bathrooms

Can you tell who's-who?

Ernie's just relaxing

I recognize Candy, and I think that may be Charla on her left. END!
